University of Brighton masters student Daniel Toms won the Student Rep of the Year title in this year’s Chartered Society of Physiotherapy awards.

The society recognised Daniel for his communication skills and for the support he gives to fellow students.
Daniel is in his final year of the two-year accelerated MSc in Rehabilitation Science (Physiotherapy) course. In addition to his academic commitments, Daniel finds time to support fellow students and to organise charity events.
Daniel said he was thrilled with the award: “It means a lot to me to be recognised in this way.”
Professor Shirley Bach, Head of the School of Health Sciences, congratulated Daniel: “This is a highly prestigious award and Daniel is a very worthy recipient.”
Daniel Toms was congratulated at the awards ceremony by Dr Lesley Dawson. Lesley Dawson started the MSC in Rehabilitation Science (Physiotherapy) course and is now retired and an occasional Problem Based Learning tutor.
